Hawk Inn Mountain Resort outdoor wedding - Plymouth, VT

When Lynn & Ben were planning their wedding, all they needed was nature, good food, and great people. All they wanted was for their special day to be simple, informal, and comfortable. That’s exactly what they got with their Hawk Inn Mountain Resort outdoor wedding in Plymouth, VT.For a couple who is very active together – whether it’s going for a hike, skiing the mountains of Vermont, or taking in culinary events to learn and try different foods, wine, and beer – their ceremony and reception could not have been more perfect. Being in the mountains of Vermont with a very comfortable atmosphere, I knew why Lynn & Ben chose this location to begin their lives together.The ceremony was beautiful. I could see a wave of calm come over Lynn as her father walked her down the aisle. It was a very special moment to witness. Another special moment was when Lynn’s Godmother and Aunt read the Irish Blessing. It was a beautiful way to honor Lynn’s family.Special moments and traditions continued at the reception. Lynn’s aunt said “Grace” before dinner – something Lynn’s grandfather used to do at all weddings. Since he is no longer with them, her aunt stepped in and did an amazing job. A small moment from the evening that meant so much to everyone there.The celebration continued well into the night. Under a large white tent, guests dined on amazing food and then showed off their best dance moves. And, just when you thought the evening couldn’t have gotten any better, there were fireworks! A surprise that only Lynn and her mother knew about. What a fantastic way to end the evening!
