Whitneys Inn Wedding – Jackson, NH
Rachel & Keith wanted their wedding celebration to have rustic charm, and that’s exactly what they got at Whitneys Inn and the Shovel Handle Pub in Jackson, NH. I met Rachel when I photographed her sister’s wedding and remembered the great toast she gave and how wonderful her family was. I was honored to work with her family once again. The outdoor ceremony was nothing short of magical. There comes a moment when you notice the bride and groom are only aware of each other, everything else around them disappears. That moment happened right as Rachel walked through the shutter arbor, built from old shutters and doors from their house, and walked down the aisle - her best friend waiting for her at the end.The magic continued at the reception where Rachel & Keith’s personal touches added to the rustic barn charm of the Shovel Handle Pub. Vintage keys hung from chicken wire frames were how guests found their table assignment. And, at each table were mini “doors” made from boards off their barn. Each door had a metal apartment number and an old doorknob to go with their key and lock theme. I know a lot of time and energy went into every detail and they did not go unnoticed. It was such a great day of celebration and emotion and I was lucky enough to witness the beginning of a beautiful story.
