Laura and Tim's Summer Wedding at the Publick House in Sturbridge, MA
I knew from meeting Laura and Tim during their engagement session in Newport, Rhode Island that we were going to have a lot of fun on their wedding day. Their day started with excitement and anticipation building while they began their wedding preparations. We had great outdoor photo opportunities at their parents' homes to do some portraits before heading to the Belchertown United Church of Christ for the ceremony. When we arrived at the church, we had overcast skies that quickly turned into threatening thunderstorm clouds! The rain poured through the ceremony and all the way through the drive to the Publick House. As a wedding photographer, I love to photograph my couples outdoors, but when we don't have the perfect weather, it's my job to create beautiful images in any situation - rain or shine. As I scouted for indoor locations at the Publick House, the sky began to clear up outside. Despite the previously pouring rain and the radar weather map that offered little hope, Laura and Tim had a sunny blue sky on their wedding day, and we were able to get great photos if the two of them outside.Their reception was a blast! Their DJ Bob Raina did a fantastic job of keeping the energy up through the night. There was a lot of laughing and dancing (I was particularly impressed with Tim's moves on the dance floor), as well as sweet moments during the speeches and dances. It was such a great celebration with family and friends!
